This is Stuart's original splint... not too bad. But this one was just to immobilize his hand to prevent further damage until it could be fixed using "rigid fixation", or in layman's terms, surgically implanted screws or plates.


 
This is a front and back view of Stuart's hand before surgery. Note the lack of a knuckle on the left hand.



This is stuart's hand once it had been screwed. There are two screws holding the bone together.



Here are Stuart's post-surgical bandages... "Put Žem up..."



Stuart has now downsized to the sleek splint and tape look...


 
...and his hand is looking more like normal (all except for the stitches)!
